About Us

About Us

Safa Marwa Relief and Development Organization (SAMRADO) is a Somali-registered, non-profit organization established in 2014. The organization works to promote the well-being, protection, and inclusion of children and youth with disabilities, orphans, and other vulnerable groups affected by conflict, displacement, and climate-related shocks in Somalia.

SAMRADO implements inclusive, community-based and rights-driven programmes in partnership with local communities, government institutions, and national and international organizations. Guided by the principles of non-discrimination, dignity, participation, and accessibility, SAMRADO seeks to remove barriers to education, basic services, and economic participation, while strengthening resilience and self-reliance at community level, in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and international humanitarian standards.

Our Goals

SAMRADO aims to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society by expanding access to quality and inclusive education, improving food security and basic living conditions, and strengthening the social and economic participation of children, youth, and adults with disabilities. Through rights-based advocacy, community engagement, and livelihood support, the organization seeks to reduce stigma and discrimination, enhance self-reliance, and support vulnerable individuals and communities to live with dignity, safety, and opportunity.

Resources

The biggest resource needed for the blind and underprivileged youth of Somalia is a good education system. We can send our best teachers from the USA to Somalia so that the youth can get education and have a better future ahead. Other resources include sufficient food supply, homes, public transport facility for the blind, talking voting machines and innovative technologies for the blind people and even the normal ones.
